Hunter Wetlands Learning Centre - Newcastle

The Hunter Wetlands project involved the creation of a new wetlands learning centre for Newcastle and Hunter children at the existing Hunter Wetlands site. It was completed under a joint funding arrangement between a number of organisations.

The project included construction of a dip netting wharf built out over an existing pond, utilising driven timber piles. The Hunter Wetlands also included numerous environmentally conscious design features as well as future proofing to allow the integration of developing technologies such as wind and solar power at later stages.
