Rathmines Theatre Refurbishment

We are always honoured to be involved on projects with cultural heritage significance and were excited to deliver refurbishment works at Rathmines Theatre for Lake Macquarie City Council.

Rathmines Theatre, formerly known as the Rathmines Community Hall, is located on the former RAAF Station Rathmines and is of local heritage significant.

The redevelopment of the venue included: modern audio-visual equipment and lighting; two 'green rooms' for performers; new meeting rooms; improved ventilation; new bathrooms and amenities; installation of disabled parking; accessible ramp and lift; and new landscaping.

North is proud to deliver another great project to the local community.

North has demonstrated an open and transparent approach from the outset, including assisting in the resolution of a redesign to address termite infestation, existing
structural damage from a previous fire, and evolving stakeholder requirements.

Working with North, we found the team led by Jaime Bennett and Adam Cowan to be diligent, honest and proactive in problem solving and delivering on their stated purpose of
Building with Trust.

North is organised and thorough in their approach to design and construction and their teams set the highest standards of WHSE&Q and workmanship.

Through a number of alternative solutions and innovative design, the team has delivered an excellent facility for our community and we would not hesitate to
recommend North for any future project.
