Woy Woy Presbyterian Church

Client: St Davids Presbyterian Church

VAlue: $715,000

Architect: Noel Bell Ridley Smith & Partners

Project Details

With existing facilities dating back 80 years, St David’s Presbyterian Church (now Woy Woy Presbyterian Church), was desperately in need of modern facilities to grow its congregation while maintaining the heritage that the existing facilities encompassed.

The new building comprises subfloor blockwork, a suspended duragal framed timber floor, exposed structural steelwork that mirrored the shape of the existing church roofline and colorbond aluminium wall cladding. Finer architectural details were resolved during construction, with a view to cost containment.

The project was won through a traditional tender process. Norths then worked closely with the client and the architect to incorporate significant cost savings, so that the project budget was met and the building proceeded.
