Project Details

This MBA award-winning project involved the demolition of the existing grandstand buildings to make way for the new structure comprising new change rooms, public amenities and canteen that will cater for a range of sporting and community events for years to come. The works also included the construction of a purpose built playing field, complete with a dedicated irrigation system. Significant earthworks were required to reshape the existing playing field and import quality fill material to establish the new levels of the playing field. The project also entailed the installation of Fielders Aramax roofing, which was formed on site using the Fielders mobile roll forming machine. This allows for the roofing coil product to be accurately profiled on site and installed without damage.

The 1,100 seat stadium seating consists of a conventional concrete plat design, however an innovative Ultrafloor plat alternative was proposed by North which reduced construction time and increased the level of finish for this element of the project.
