North was awarded the contract for the reconstruction of an existing spillway at Swan Reach to protect adjacent farm land during flood events. The works were won competitively and completed on a Schedule of Rates contract with Public Works as the Superintendent.
The works were completed in two stages – Southern/Middle Spillway (approximately 300m long) & Northern Spillway (approximately 480m long) and comprised the following along the entire length of the Spillway:
