The construction of five new buildings and the refurbishment of three existing buildings at the Shelly Beach site has allowed the school to reunite the primary and infants students, who had been studying on separate campuses for over twenty years.
With the school having to remain operational throughout the building program, construction duration was a significant concern for the client. An alternative construction sequence to that proposed in the tender documents allowed the overall construction program to be reduced by fourteen weeks.
Close coordination between the site personnel and the school staff ensured the safety of the students, good access to the construction site, and seamless transitions between the three construction phases.
