The project included the construction of a new trade training centre including areas for design and planning, metal engineering, electro engineering and general purpose learning areas. Additionally the project involved the refurbishment of existing science classrooms to create a new laboratory, storage and teachers preparation areas. The key challenge of this project was the limited site access, unknown nature of existing in ground services and programming construction activities around the needs of an operating school, including senior students completing their HSC exams. The project was delivered under ABIC Simple Works 2008 construction only contract.
