The AGL Macquarie OCC project (Operations Coordination Centre) entailed the upgrade of an existing precast concrete structure to house the new OCC facility.
The project required the construction of a computer room to house the equipment that controls the power station, as well as numerous offices and control rooms. Wet areas and bathrooms were also constructed to allow the staff to comfortably operate the facility 24/7.
Given the proximity of the OCC to the existing power station, numerous measures were required to be employed to control acoustic performance and provide a quiet, comfortable working space.
