Project Details

This education project involved the complete internal demolition and refurbishment of the existing school science block as well as the construction of an additional two story school building. The existing building now comprises five new science laboratories, as well as chemical storage rooms and a staff room for the science faculty. The new education building comprises two science laboratories and three general learning areas (GLA’s).

This project was designed to achieve a 3 star Green Star Rating from the Green Building Council of Australia. To achieve this rating, numerous environmentally friendly design elements were incorporated into the project. These included the use of specialist flooring rubber materials, innovative Building Management System (BMS) and comprehensive use of low VOC wall and floor coverings.
