Project Details

The project comprised the extension and reconfiguration of the existing RFS Fire Control Centre in Cobar for Rural Fire Service NSW and Cobar Shire Council, bringing it up to speed with the modern era.

The extension included a new administration area and the reconfiguration converted existing vehicle bays into modern office spaces to aid RFS operations. Reconfigurations were also made to modernise existing bathrooms, kitchen space and large open Operations Room with significant AV, security, communications, and mechanical works required.

A focus for our team was ensuring regular communication with the staff and management as the facility remained in use throughout the duration of our works. We worked with the staff to minimise disruption to the daily operations by limiting noisy works to quieter work periods for the RFS and assisting with decanting old areas that were scheduled for renovation or reconfiguration.
