Kariong Fire Control Centre consisted of a 500m2 extension to the existing site sheds with the provision of a new amenities block and upgrades to the existing on site detention basins. The project was awarded on an accelerated construction program due to the Rural Fire Services tight requirements for the completion of the project.
The combination of inclement weather and the presence of existing uncontrolled fill resulted in the requirement for extensive remediation works to the building sub grade. Despite the 4 week delay the implementation of an aggressive construction program resulted in the project being delivered 2 weeks ahead of schedule.
