North were engaged to undertake an extension of the existing aged care facility which comprised an additional 29 RACF beds plus additional administration offices, reconfiguration of the existing dining area and new dining space for the additional rooms, new common areas associated with the additional rooms, new care staff / nurse stations and the refurbishment of the existing kitchen and laundry facilities.
In addition to this, services infrastructure and back of house services to support the new development were undertaken and external areas including car parking, landscaping, services entry and outdoor areas were also completed.
The project team were required to carefully plan the methodology across several stages so the existing facility could operate with minimal disruption.
