The line of lode refurbishment is the extension and refit of the Broken Earth café in the line of lode precinct. The project involved demolition, implementation of a lead remedial action plan, intricate structural steel tie ins to the existing structure and the install of 1.3km of water mains to service the precinct.
The precinct is raised above the surrounding area and visible all over town and is reserved as a memorial to all the miners who had lost their lives since the opening of the mine and is also a significant tourist attraction.
