Project Details

The constraints of building at the entrance to a functioning school on a steeply sloping site provided many challenges in both design and construction of this project. An alternate construction sequence proposed by North allowed the school to use the existing driveway until the new access was built, with the changeover occurring during the school holidays at the same time as providing a saving of $50,000.

The civil works component of the project involved some 65 retaining walls, three roads, carpark, playing field, extensive landscaping, bushfire hazard reduction and fire trails. The building works included a multi-purpose hall, amenities, tiered 127-seat lecture theatre, two storey classroom block, music practice rooms and a chapel.
