The MBA award-winning project consist 122 beds, including full commercial kitchen and laundry facilities, hair salon and indoor and outdoor common areas.

Specific project challenges include the site being located on top of a hill with only one road in/out which had to be re-built, and dropped by 2.5m. The road has 2 hairpin bends preventing anything over 9m in length from being delivered in one application. North had to split and assemble structural steel and trusses on site or use two franna cranes to manoeuvre the material up the road, or via a series of lifts with a large mobile crane, requiring up to 3 lifting stations.

There was also an area of approximately 250m2 that had to be re-engineered to cantilever of a very step bank of uncontrolled fill requiring the use of a 250t crane to lift the precast slab sections into place.
