Project Details

Holy Trinity is the merging of the local Anglican Parishes from the Terrigal district. The new building was to accommodate church services and functions, an up-market secondhand clothing store, a 38 space carpark, and the widening of Serpentine Rd to allow increased traffic.

Thrum Architects designed a very modern building, centering around angular precast concrete panels and multi-pitched colorbond roofing externally. This is carried into the interior with long splayed ceilings and feature castings on the concrete walls.

North had to carefully manage the refurbishment of large concrete murals, crosses and stained glass windows from an existing Church which had been donated from parishioners and had a strong sentimental value to the community.

These have all been incorporated into elements of the new structure and carry with them the sense of progression of old to new that the Church was looking for.
