Project Details

Stage 1 of the Warnervale Gardens Aged Care Facility establishes Anglican Care as a new aged care provider on the Central Coast. Built on a greenfield site in Warnervale, the finished project provides a 66 bed aged care facility including associated catering, cleaning and training facilities.

Site preparations for the project included off-site roadworks, extensive bulk excavation and civilworks and reticulation of new services to the site. The building consisted of a concrete framed lower ground floor with timber frame brick veneer construction used on the ground floor. Numerous well appointed common areas and extensive landscaped courtyards add to the amenity of the finished product.

The finished project displays a high level of finish throughout for a large commercial project, built in just 49 weeks (including EOTs). The detailing and structure, combined with the environmental constraints of tree protection and stormwater management added significantly to the complexity of the project. The co-operative approach to contract issues (programme, variations, quality etc) ensured the success of the project with the client and consultants. North’s defect management process on this project ensured a smooth hand-over and a high level of
end-user satisfaction.
