Greyhound Racing NSW approached North to complete the works under a construction management contract with a requirement to help develop the design whilst meeting specific operational requirements. Their requirements were to have the building operational two nights a week for weekly race meetings, and for completion of the project in nine weeks, in time to host the annual Greyhound Racing National Titles.
Project works involved the internal demolition and refurbishment of the approximately 5,000sqm across three levels within the existing grandstand building, including function rooms, three tote betting facilities, four drinks bars and three kitchen serveries.
