This project comprises the construction of a new six level commercial building including car parking, landscaping and associated civil works. The upper two floors of the building have been completed as an integrated fit out for the head office of The Mutual Bank.
Complex façade features include hit and miss feature facade brickwork, aluminium batten façade, Y column, feature precast panels and curtain wall. The facade works at the Mutual were complex and required detailed coordination and in some instances re-design of elements. Whilst not a D&C, North proposed the engagement of WSP façade engineers to work with dwp to complete the detailed façade coordination.
The team has successfully resolved the complex façade completion and buildability issues. The project was completed in a completely land-locked site and involved complete traffic management and buildability planning. Precast panels were all erected out of hours to prevent disruption to the surrounding businesses.
