More than 130 female students from 18 schools across the Central Coast and Lake Macquarie region took part in a major hands-on construction careers event at Gosford RSL Club on Thursday, May 28.

The North Construction & Building Women in Construction event gave Year 9–12 students the chance to connect directly with industry professionals, apprentices and employers while exploring career pathways in the growing construction industry.

The event included guest speaker panels, speed networking sessions, a practical carpentry build session, a meet and greet with players from the Central Coast Mariners Women’s Team and a post-school pathways expo.
