Four decades of building with trust
The sponsorship comes as North reflects four decades of award-winning expertise as a trusted leader in the construction industry. Established in 1986 by Michael and Merle North, the company has since grown into a 100% employee-owned business committed to building with trust in regional communities. Today, North operates from its head office in the Mariners Centre of Excellence building at Tuggerah, and from offices across Newcastle, Orange, Tamworth and Brisbane, delivering high-quality projects in the commercial, education, health and infrastructure sectors.
Chief Executive Officer John Melvin said 40 years in the industry required more than just technical skill; it required strong relationships with delivery partners. “As the Coast’s leading local commercial builder, we understand what it means to be a great community partner and are immensely proud of our Central Coast origins. Executive Chairman Matthew Cook said reaching 40 years was a significant milestone that spoke to the trust and stability built with their clients, subcontractor partners and communities. “Our history is about the relationships we’ve fostered since 1986, and we plan to continue this into our future,” he said.
North is hosting subcontractor and project partner events throughout the year, culminating in a 40th Anniversary Gala Event at Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific in November.
