Preparation for this community centre project included extensive clearing of existing trees with a selection retained for inclusion in landscaped areas. The surrounding area being mainly rock caused difficulty with excavation on site.
This community centre building had many different finishes including a colorbond roof and eave linings, different colour and finishes to the surrounding concrete pathways and polished concrete as the main central corridor also with differing colours. The differing colours called for the close coordination between the North Project team, the concrete contractor and concrete supplier.
